1190 Ambulance Driver Jobs Available in All Districts, Rwanda
Request for approval to hire new ambulance drivers for all Districts.
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the efficacy of our Emergency Medical Services (EMS), we have conducted a thorough review of the current staffing and operational capabilities of the EMS across all hospitals and highlighted significant gaps in the availability of qualified ambulance drivers, which has been much more exacerbated by the recent acquisition of new ambulances intended to improve our EMS response time and overall healthcare delivery.
Our findings highlight a critical shortage of ambulance drivers that requires immediate attention.
This shortage is causing significant delays in EMS response times, adversely affecting the quality of care provided to patients in urgent need. With the acquisition of 246 new ambulances, 80 of which are already in the country, there is an urgent need to substantially increase the number of qualified drivers to ensure these vehicles are fully operational and can effectively serve our communities.
It is in this regard that we urgently request approval to hire 1,190 new drivers within the next four weeks for all health facilities, including RBC/SAMU across their respective districts. This will not only cover the existing gaps but also ensure that the new ambulances are operational and can be deployed without delay to serve the community.
Attached to this letter is a descriptive document detailing the number of drivers to be hired by each district and their respective hospitals of employment.
